Children are welcome at all our services and there is a dedicated area for children in the church. A very popular Crib service for children and their parents is held on Christmas Eve before the arrival of Father Christmas by boat at the Quay. An Easter egg hunt is also held in the village on Easter Saturday.
Informal craft-based workshops for young children are held throughout the year in the Old School Room. Timed to coincide with a Christian festival or season, the children are introduced to the significance of the occasion. A short service may take place in the church followed by tea back in the Old School Room.
In recent years, crafty workshops have taken place during Lent, Easter and Advent (with a Christingle service), and also at the time of the festivals of St Valentine & St Francis. Crafty Advent is arranged to coincide with “Late Night Shopping” in the village and another crafty workshop takes place in early summer during Carnival Week, both of which have proved to be popular.
